Monday Healing Tip — Small Intestine & Triple Warmer Meridians

In Energy Medicine, the Summer Element has two yang or masculine meridians: the Small Intestine and Triple Warmer. These meridians are associated with how we process, sort and respond to what life brings our way. When these energies feel overly charged, you may notice digestive discomfort, bloating, constipation, jaw or ear tension, restlessness, anxiety, agitation, worry, or that familiar feeling of being “on” all the time. To restore balance between the Small Intestine and Triple Warmer Meridians, check out the technique below.

Try this simple practice: The Eagle Pose (Garuasana).

As you move into the pose, allow your breathing to become steady and consciously release tension through your jaw, shoulders, and belly. Hold the pose for several slow breaths, then switch sides.

Eagle Pose creates a gentle compression and release through the body while encouraging you to become aware of where you may be holding tension. Think of it as giving your energy a little space to reorganize.

I love discovering the connections between Chinese Medicine, Energy Medicine and yoga. If you’d like to explore this intersection further, check out OM Yoga & Lifestyle online Magazine. They have some really good articles!

Namaste,
